Job Description

Careers that change lives start here. Medtronic is a global leader in healthcare technology with a Mission to alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life. Our 95,000 employees work across more than 150 countries to put patients first — developing innovative medical technologies that improve the lives of 72+ million patients each year. Your unique talents will help shape the future of healthcare while building a career grounded in purpose, growth, and impact.

A Day in the Life

The OPEX role is critical to sustaining site-wide productivity, cost performance, and compliance. Without this position, key continuous improvement initiatives—including Lean deployment, problem-solving facilitation, KPI governance, and cost-reduction projects—will slow down or stall, directly impacting our operational efficiency and delivery performance.

This role is essential to maintain momentum on our 3-year OPEX roadmap, support ongoing DMAIC/Kaizen activities across all operating units, and ensure the site meets its strategic cost, quality, and productivity targets.

This position is based onsite at MSO Singapore and requires full-time onsite attendance.

This role is responsible for leading and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and business operations. The Business Process Improvement Analyst partners with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities, analyze business processes, implement Lean solutions, and drive measurable gains in productivity, quality, compliance, and cost performance.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, and Kaizen projects to improve operational performance and business outcomes.
  • Analyze current-state processes and identify opportunities to eliminate waste, reduce variation, and improve efficiency.
  • Facilitate cross-functional teams in problem-solving activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop, monitor, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process effectiveness and improvement results.
  • Collect and analyze data to identify root causes, validate solutions, and sustain process improvements.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses to support business cases and prioritization of improvement initiatives.
  • Provide guidance on process re-engineering methodologies to improve product quality and operational performance.
  • Deliver training and presentations on continuous improvement tools, methodologies, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in process improvement, operational excellence, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or a related continuous improvement function.
  • Experience leading Lean Manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma, DMAIC, or Kaizen initiatives.
  • Experience analyzing business processes, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Experience developing and tracking process performance metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Experience automating manual processes within manufacturing or operational environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience facilitating cross-functional projects and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Experience performing cost reduction, productivity improvement, and value-stream optimization projects.
  • Knowledge of Lean production systems and manufacturing automation technologies
