Job Description

Walter is recruiting for a

Business Process Expert (m/f/d) – location flexible in Europe

Ready to shape how Global Sales processes work? Do you enjoy turning complexity into clarity and improving processes that make a real business impact? Are you motivated by working at the intersection of Sales, Operations, IT, and Analytics—driving improvements rather than handling daily operations? As a Business Process Expert, you play a key role in shaping and continuously improving Lead-to-Cash and OrdertoDelivery processes. You analyze data, identify patterns and root causes, and turn insights into sustainable, scalable process improvements. Working closely with business stakeholders and digital experts, you help define how processes should run globally—today and in the future. If you’re excited about designing smart processes, driving digitalization, and acting as a trusted process partner across divisions, functions and regions, this role gives you the opportunity to make a real difference.

Sounds interesting? Then we’re happy to hear from you—apply now and help shape the future of our Global Sales processes.

Your Responsibilities:

  • You revise, optimize and continuously develop Global Sales processes at the Interface to Global Operations, including selected special and exception processes (e.g. LZM Blanket Order Handling), based on business priorities and data‑driven insights

  • You develop, coordinate and support the implementation of process improvements, ensuring alignment with relevant stakeholders and validation of proposed solutions

  • You identify fields of action based on process evaluations and analytics (e.g. SAP Business Warehouse, Celonis), recognize recurring patterns and structural root causes, and derive targeted improvement measures

  • You facilitate trainings and knowledge‑sharing sessions focused on process changes, optimizations, and new solutions

  • You own and maintain process documentation (e.g. ARIS) for assigned processes, ensuring transparency, consistency and global applicability

  • You evaluate, prioritize and support the implementation of business requirements, including coordination of testing, validation and approvals in close collaboration with IT and business stakeholders

  • You manage or actively contribute to cross‑functional projects related to Sales process optimization, automation and analytics, acting as the business process expert within project teams

Your Profile:

  • You bring a degree in Business Informatics, Business Administration, Engineering (Technician) or a comparable technical education and qualification, along with several years of relevant professional experience

  • You have strong experience in Sales processes (LeadtoCash) and Operations processes (Order-to-Deliver), including the handling of both standard and special processes

  • You have very good experience with process analytics and automation solutions, such as Celonis (including the Action Flow), MS Power Automate, or comparable tools

  • You demonstrate a strong process- and system-oriented mindset and are able to identify recurring patterns as well as underlying structural root causes

  • You have experience in accompanying change processes, including communication, enablement, and stakeholder alignment

  • You have very good system knowledge, particularly in SAP, Celonis, CRM systems, and MS Office, and you are able to translate business requirements into system‑related concepts

  • You are fluent in written and spoken German as well as English; additional languages are a plus

  • You have a structured and self‑organized working style and can prioritize effectively in a complex and dynamic environment

Our benefits:

Walter offers you a modern working environment with flexible working hours, mobile working, a wide range of health measures and company pension schemes. We place great importance on enabling our employees to develop professionally and personally. Safety in the workplace is very important to us and we actively support diversity and inclusion measures.
