Job Description

To strengthen our Business Process Transformation team, we are looking for a Business Process Engineer to ensure the stability, resilience and continuous improvement of Alpiq’s business processes. Reporting to the Head Business Process Transformation, you will play a key role in increasing effectiveness and efficiency through mature processes.

Your main responsibilities

  • Manage, in close collaboration with designated process owners and roles, the documentation, maintenance, analysis and continuous improvement of assigned business processes
  • Coordinate Internal Control System (ICS)–related topics with process owners, including supporting risk identification within processes and the design and implementation of appropriate controls
  • Lead and support initiatives and projects aimed at business process optimisation and transformation
  • Define, together with process owners and relevant roles, meaningful and adequate process performance indicators
  • Promote the effectiveness and efficiency of assigned processes through close cooperation with process owners and stakeholders
  • Ensure all documented processes comply with Alpiq’s process modelling standards and conventions
  • Ensure the correct integration and consistency of designed processes within the overall Alpiq process landscape
  • Maintain and continuously enhance process documentation in the designated BPM tool

Your profile

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent higher education
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in the energy industry
  • Proven experience in business process management, process design and continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of BPMN 2.0 and process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma
  • Fluent in English and German, written and spoken (French, Spanish and Italian are an advantage)
  • Strong analytical skills and a pronounced process-oriented mindset
  • Can-do mentality combined with a structured, open-minded and detail-oriented working style
