Our client, a semi-state organisation in the energy sector, is seeking a Business Pricing Analyst (SME) to join their Customer Solutions team on a 12 month contract, based in Dublin 9 This role covers all areas of business pricing for electricity and gas, including tariffs, fixed price products and bespoke offers for small, medium and large business customers. The successful candidate will bring strong analytical skills, good attention to detail, and the ability to work at pace in a busy commercial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support electricity and gas pricing activity for business customers, including tariff reviews, bespoke pricing and fixed price products.
• Analyse pricing inputs, market data, competitor offers and forecast assumptions to support accurate and competitive pricing decisions.
• Maintain and improve pricing models, tools and systems, working with IT and other teams where changes are required.
• Work with stakeholders across Business Markets, Forecasting, Reporting and Customer Solutions to support pricing changes, business cases and product development.
• Keep tariff books, pricing reports and dashboards up to date, ensuring information is accurate, clear and useful for decision-making.
• Identify opportunities to improve pricing processes, reduce complexity and support more efficient ways of working.
• Provide prices for Large Energy Users monthly billing.
• Draw insights from complex pricing data to support commercial decision-making.
• Explain complex pricing information clearly to a range of internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to draw insights from complex data.
• Advanced Excel skills, with experience in modelling, VBA and Power BI reporting.
• Good understanding of pricing inputs, systems and data, and how these support price development.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
• Excellent attention to detail, with a proactive and practical approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and manage work effectively in a busy environment.
