Agentic AI is changing the way we work - not just in Engineering, but all across Trade Me. This role provides the focused people leadership and platform ownership necessary to meet growing demand for AI-powered tools, ensuring coherent strategy, faster decision-making, and reduced cognitive load.

Here is what you can expect from this role:

• Lead the safe, responsible, and effective adoption of AI-powered internal tools and workflows in line with our AI-First direction.
  
• Take responsibility for the operations, enhancements, and strategic architectural decisions of our AI workflow and B2B CRM platforms.
  
• Serve as the people leader for two or more engineering squads, managing recruitment, onboarding, performance, and professional development.
  
• Collaborate with senior leaders across Trade Me to align strategic platform decisions with overall business needs and platform principles.
  
• Adhere to the Platform as a Product framework to deliver value in slices, partnering with the Senior Technical Product Owner to align engineering effort with priorities.
  
• Lead change management for sales teams to ensure maximum value is extracted from our CRM platform.

What you will bring to our team:

• 5+ years in a leadership position, with at least 3 years of line management and 1+ year managing 10+ direct reports.
  
• 3+ years working with delivery teams and 1+ year managing change within an organisation or programme of work.
  
• Proven experience leading technical teams in an agile environment by promoting autonomy, pragmatism, and commitment.
  
• Demonstrable comprehension of various AI workflow platforms available in the market and their relative benefits.
  
• Comprehensive knowledge of sales processes and their interrelationship with CRM systems.
  
• Exceptional communication, facilitation, relationship-building, and performance management skills.
