Your opportunity:

We’re looking for a Planning Manager that champions seamless execution by enabling teams to deliver with clarity, accountability, and adaptability—ensuring that strategic intent translates into tangible outcomes. In this role, you’ll be the engine that keeps planning and delivery moving—ensuring clarity, accountability, and flow across multiple teams.

Working closely with the Senior Planning Manager and other stakeholders, the Planning Manager ensures initiatives progress smoothly from planning to execution, with clear ownership and structured delivery paths. You’ll monitor product portfolio health, surface risks early, and create the conditions for teams to collaborate effectively, plan and deliver confidently and consistently. You'll make impact by:

Planning confidence & delivery flow

  • Ensuring initiatives move from planning to execution with clear ownership and delivery paths.
  • Monitoring portfolio health across cross functional teams surfacing blockers early and enabling resolution.
  • Maintaining momentum through structured syncs, milestone tracking, and planning/release readiness.

Team Empowerment & Enablement

  • Supporting teams in managing their delivery commitments.
  • Facilitating rituals that foster clarity, psychological safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Championing inclusive practices that reflect diverse working styles and team dynamics.

Visibility & Communication

  • Providing and driving transparent reporting that connects team progress to strategic goals.
  • Tailoring updates for different audience e.g. senior leaders, cross-functional peers, and delivery teams.
  • Ensuring that planning and delivery narratives reflect both progress and learning, not just velocity.

Risk & Adaptability Management

  • Proactively identify risks and facilitate mitigation strategies.
  • Enabling teams to adapt plans without losing sight of strategic intent.
  • Supporting scenario shifts with calm, coordinated responses that maintain team cohesion.

Cross-Functional Synchronisation

  • Partnering with Senior Planning Manager and Portfolio Heads of to align delivery timelines with planning rhythms.
  • Facilitating handoffs and dependencies across workstreams.

Culture of Excellence & Iteration

  • Fostering a delivery culture that values quality, learning, and iteration.
  • Encouraging retrospectives that lead to actionable improvements.
  • Celebrating wins—big and small—to reinforce team morale and shared purpose.

What you’ll bring:

  • 3–5 years’ experience supporting planning, execution, and delivery processes across multiple teams or workstreams.
  • Strong planning and delivery management experience in complex, cross-functional environments
  • Proven ability to monitor and improve delivery health across multiple teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience in facilitating planning and delivery rituals and fostering team empowerment
  • Ability to manage risks and adapt plans under changing conditions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on outcomes
  • Energy, enthusiasm, and a collaborative mindset
  • Deep commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences (CX), ensuring solutions consistently meet our customer needs and create lasting value
  • Telecommunications industry experience is highly desirable but not essential.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in building and maintaining project plans, delivery roadmaps, and milestone schedules
  • Strong experience using Jira (boards, workflows, dashboards, reporting) to manage delivery flow and track progress
  • Familiarity with Confluence for documentation, decision logs, and cross‑team visibility
  • Experience with resource planning, capacity forecasting, and workload balancing tools
  • Competence with risk registers, RAID logs, and structured mitigation planning
  • Proficiency with collaboration tools such as Miro, Teams, or equivalent
  • Ability to translate strategic plans into structured delivery backlogs, work packages, and execution pathways
