JOB PURPOSE

As a Business Planning & Development Officer, you will act as a strategic factor and information filter for the management. Your role is to monitor macroeconomic indicators and local policy changes in Vietnam, converting raw data into concise insights, sharp slide decks, and actionable business implications to support corporate decision-making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Macroeconomic & Sector Monitoring

• Data Tracking: Monitor key macroeconomic indicators (GDP, FDI, inflation, international trade, interest rates,) and sectoral movements (Energy, Infrastructure, Real Estate, Consumer Market,).
• Regulatory Updates: Track emerging regulatory developments and green trends, such as ESG, EPR, power, and carbon market policies.
• Insight Synthesis: Help translate complex market and policy information into practical business implications for SCG's business units.
• Deliverables: Contribute to the preparation of regular Weekly, Quarterly, and Yearly business & economic reports.

2.Executive Reporting & Business Planning Support

• Presentation Crafting: Consolidate data to prepare clean management-level summaries, slide decks, and meeting materials for the Executive Committee.
• Planning Inputs: Assume external factor and market analysis to back up the rationale for SCG's annual Action Plan and 5-Year Medium-Term Plan.
• Data & AI Productivity: Apply advanced spreadsheet logic (pivots, charts, data cleaning) and utilize AI productivity tools to optimize workflow and data visualization.

3. Project Support & Stakeholder Coordination

• Market Research: Assist in compiling partner profiles, market research inputs, and feasibility data for greenfield or business expansion studies.
• Internal Coordination: Smoothly communicate and follow up with internal teams, business units, and subsidiaries to consolidate materials within approved deadlines.
• Corporate Governance Support: Assist in drafting official letters, summarizing professional meeting minutes, and ensuring the accuracy of basic corporate records in alignment with SCG practices.
• Other tasks as assigned by management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, International Business or related fields.
• Experience: 2–5 years of experience in business planning, corporate strategy, market research, consulting, or management reporting. Prior exposure to MNCs, consulting firms, or business associations is a strong plus.
• Executive English: Capability to write concise headlines, executive summaries, emails, and management conclusions in business English.
• Data Analysis & Storytelling Skills: Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel (pivots, charts, formulas, data logic). Familiarity with Power Query, BI, and AI tools is a highly regarded advantage.
• Business Sense: A solid understanding of the logic behind Vietnam's macroeconomic indicators, government direction, and investment environment is a strong advantage.
• Flexibility: Willingness and capability to travel on domestic business trips (approx. 6+ times/year) for market studies or networking activities.
