HP’s CTO organization is transforming in order to successfully grow and execute at a global scale. As a Business Planning Lead, you will play a critical role by supporting the organization’s financials and driving strategic direction. You will support several L3s to forecast and track team financials, prioritize strategic initiatives, lead key cross-functional projects, and coordinate action plans.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Participate in the long-term planning process for the organization. Translates long-term strategies into a set of key priorities, initiatives and KPIs within their organization(s).

  • Work with management and other planners on the annual budget and monthly flash processes. Manages negotiations and reconciliations with finance teams.

  • Manage the operating model for the business ensuring the right cadence of reviews to deliver committed financial performance while advancing strategic priorities.

  • Develops recommendations for optimizing business and financial performance while mitigating risks.

  • Lead highly complex, time- sensitive requests from the business and our partners. Work across functions and teams to drive clarity, accuracy, and consistency.

  • Support the development of effective presentation materials for executive-level reviews related to finances and budget.

  • Manage monthly deliverables related to financial reporting, forecasting, and choice points.

  • Proactively identify and document key risk areas on a monthly/quarterly basis, and work with all relevant leaders and stakeholders to manage them to resolution.

  • Manage workforce planning as it pertains the organization and impact to quarterly financial spend and budgets.

  • On an ad hoc basis, supports special projects that require coordination across functions.

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management or equivalent.

  • Typically 10+ years’ post-graduate experience.

Skills:

  • Microsoft Power Query, Power Pivot features built in Excel

  • Smart Sheet

  • Understand master data concepts

  • Demonstrated business acumen, understanding of organizational strategy, and successful experience managing all aspects of cross business unit programs, including communicating with internal and external stakeholders and directing matrixed teams and resources.

  • Understanding of HP’s financial processes and operational execution to enable immediate contribution to the broader CTO business planning team.

  • Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including advanced negotiation, presentation, and influence skills; mastery in English and local language.

  • Ability to work in an ambiguous environment, exercising independent judgment.

  • Ability to orchestrate the development of strategic plans that reflect both HP’s and CTO’s business strategy and translate these strategies into executable operational initiatives.

  • Experience developing and maintaining KPIs to measure and track progress of initiatives toward achieving operational targets.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead effectively in a complex environment and deliver results; able to influence without direct authority and to balance between competing priorities by being flexible and creative.

  • Experience designing and developing project and program planning tools and software packages to create, manage, and track project results.

The pay range for this role is$130,700to$205,200USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
