Job Description

SEWS — Farmington Hills, Michigan Office. Although located at SEWS – Farmington Hills Office, this is a Hybrid position, which combines both in office and off-site work.Associates are required to work at least four days in the office each week, but also have the flexibility to work off-site.

JOB TITLE:Business Planner I

BASIC PURPOSE:

Assist with departmental annual and quarterly budget preparation and tracking in accordance with internal timelines.Implement efficiency measures that transition departmental manual operation to automated processing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with annual budget preparation.
  • Support annual cost reduction initiatives and tariff planning.
  • Assist in managing P1 and P3 performance results and budget finalization.
  • Support data analysis for monthly PPV reports.
  • Assist with process improvements for various manual systems.
  • Coordinate supplier communication related to BCP, tariff notifications and UFLPA compliance.
  • Manage data and documentation for annual audits.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1-3 years business accounting/finance experience.
  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management or the equivalent relevant experience.
  • Previous experience in Tier 1 automotive environment and electronics preferred.
  • Ability to work productively, prioritize action items and produce results while also being flexible to environmental changes.
  • High degree of analytical skills and ability to structure and process qualitative or quantitative data and draw insightful conclusions.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills in English and Japanese.
  • Business level fluency in Japanese language.
  • Strives to be a team player throughout the department and all areas of the company.
