Mō te tūranga | About the Role

Data doesn’t change outcomes — people do. That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for a Business Performance Manager to join our Consumer Banking & Wealth Chief Operating Office, helping turn data into meaningful stories that shape decisions and improve experiences for our customers. In this role, you’ll go beyond reporting — you’ll connect the dots. You’ll bring together data, context, and curiosity to uncover insights that help our leaders understand what’s working, what’s not, and where we can do things better.

You’ll work closely with teams across the business, building trusted relationships and creating clear, practical insights that support smarter decisions. Whether it’s designing performance reporting, shaping KPIs, or responding to new questions as they arise, your work will have real impact.

This is a great opportunity to be part of building a strong performance culture — one where data is accessible, meaningful, and used to drive better outcomes for both our customers and our business.

Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?
We know great candidates don’t always tick every box — if this role excites you, we’d love to hear from you.

You might bring:

  • A genuine interest in working with data and turning it into clear, useful insights
  • Proven experience (ideally 4-5years) in a similar business performance, analytics, or insights-focused role
  • The ability to communicate ideas in a way that makes sense to different audiences
  • Experience building relationships and partnering with stakeholders to support decision-making
  • A curious, problem-solving mindset — you enjoy asking questions and exploring the “why” behind the numbers
  • An understanding of how data and performance insights connect to real business outcomes
  • Experience with tools like SQL, Power BI, Excel or similar
  • A relevant qualification in Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or similar
