Department Overview

Electric Operations ensures the delivery of clean, safe, reliable and affordable energy to nearly 16 million people in Northern and Central California. Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration and emergency response.

The Quality Management organization made up of over 300 coworkers and contractors that help ensure the safe and reliable delivery of electricity to approximately 16 million people throughout a 70,000 square-mile service area in northern and central California. The organization is accountable for the company's program to underground 10,000 miles of electric distribution lines to reduce wildfire risk, the System Inspection Program to identify potential risks to the safety and reliability of the system, and Maintenance & Construction Programs ensure safe and reliable delivery of electricity. The Quality Management Planning & Improvement (P&I) team supports the organization to meet or exceed established operational targets, including compliance requirements, KPIs, budget, and risk reduction strategies that support the company’s Purpose, Virtutes and Stands.

The Business Performance Analyst analyzes processes and utilizes six sigma techniques to develop and recommend operational process improvements. They manage cross functional teams and partners with peers and leaders on process change implementation and ongoing measurement. The incumbent may own ongoing process management or administration. The incumbent also provides business analytics information, including research, data analysis, metric implementation, forecasting, and reporting in support of business decision making, strategy and operations.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory. The location is flexible but must be able to travel to Dublin or San Ramon occasionally.

PG&E is providing the salary range that can reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​ This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs

Bay Area – $122,000 - $173,800

And/or

California - $116,000 - $165,000

Job Responsibilities

• Mentors and provides guidance to less experienced colleagues.
• Develops and tracks metrics that provide data for process measurement, business operations or risk assessment and may present findings to leadership.
• Leads implementation of process improvements and efficiencies.
• Works on moderately complex problems that require in depth analysis and judgment to obtain results or solutions.
• Supports LSS process improvement projects by carrying out various project tasks such as process mapping, data collection, data analysis, metrics analysis, root cause analysis, documentation under Black Belt guidance.
• Monitors and ensures accurate data feeds from multiple sources
• Completes data analysis and reporting by creating and running database queries and reports.

Qualifications

Minimum:

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
• 7 years of relevant business, operational, financial, or process improvement experience
• May be required to travel to various company locations including San Ramon, Dublin, Stockton

Desired:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• Masters Degree or equivalent experience
• Experience with HTML-Hyper Text Markup Language
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI
• Experience with Microsoft Power Apps
• Experience with SQL
• Lean Six Sigma Certified
