The Business Optimization Architect is responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and architecting enterprise-level optimization opportunities across the organization. This role focuses on value realization, operational efficiency, and strategic alignment by connecting business strategy to measurable outcomes.
The architect partners with executive leadership, operations, finance, IT, and performance reporting teams to define optimization roadmaps, quantify benefits, and ensure initiatives deliver sustainable business value.
Identify cross-functional optimization opportunities across claims, enrollment, customer service, utilization management, operations, and finance.
Translate business strategy into an enterprise optimization roadmap aligned to cost, quality, service, and compliance objectives.
Define optimization hypotheses, success measures, and expected business outcomes.
Develop business cases, value models, and ROI estimates for optimization initiatives.
Define benefit tracking frameworks and performance indicators in partnership with performance reporting teams.
Monitor realization of benefits and escalate value leakage risks.
Assess current-state operating models, organizational capabilities, and constraints.
Recommend target-state changes to roles, governance, decision rights, and workflows.
Ensure optimization initiatives align with regulatory, contractual, and client commitments.
Support intake, triage, and prioritization of optimization initiatives.
Balance near-term efficiency gains with long-term transformation goals.
Provide executive-level insights and recommendations to guide investment decisions.
Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on operational performance and optimization strategy.
Facilitate executive workshops to align on outcomes, tradeoffs, and priorities.
Partner with Process Architects to translate optimization intent into executable process designs.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
7-10+ years of experience in business optimization, strategy, transformation, or operational excellence.
Experience within healthcare, insurance, or a health insurance TPA environment.
Strong experience developing business cases and value realization frameworks.
Excellent executive communication and facilitation skills.
Preferred Requirements:
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or enterprise transformation frameworks.
Experience working with performance reporting and analytics teams.

The compensation offered will vary depending on your job-related skills, education, knowledge, and experience. This role aligns with an annual incentive bonus plan subject to the terms and the conditions of the plan.
Min to Max Range:
$77,800.00 - $146,100.00
