These project based roles support an ongoing District initiative focused on reducing risk, improving information governance, and converting physical records to electronic formats. The work is hands on and requires reliable in person attendance each day, the ability to work independently, think analytically, and lift and move boxes of documents, which may be heavy. Ideal candidates are self motivated, resourceful, and comfortable working with structured data, records, and electronic systems in a fast paced project environment.

Job Definition

The Business Operations Coordinator I and II assist with and/or support operations of the District by coordinating varied tasks, such as scheduling meetings or work activities, developing and maintaining documentation, working with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining vendor relationships, and/or assisting with budget preparation. The Business Operations Coordinator I achieves success through excellent time management and communication skills, the ability to collaborate with teams, and meeting deadlines.

Experience/Education

Minimum Education and Experience

Business Operations Coordinator I $74,679 - $93,348

  • Associate's Degree in Accounting, Business, IT, or related field;

OR

  • Two (2) years of office/clerical or customer service experience.

Business Operations Coordinator II $83,640 - $104,550

  • Associate's Degree in Accounting, Business, IT, or related field, AND
  • Two (2) years of office/clerical or customer service experience.;

OR

  • Four (4) years of office/clerical or customer service experience.

About Snohomish County PUD

Snohomish County PUD began operating as an electric utility on September 1, 1949, providing public power to Snohomish County and Camano Island. (We actually began as a water utility on January 17, 1946, but we don’t provide water service to the entire county.)

Snohomish County PUD is a municipal corporation of the state of Washington, formed by a majority vote of the people for the purpose of providing electric and/or water utility service. There are 27 other PUDs in Washington, but we are the largest.

We are the 12th largest public utility in the U.S. and the second largest in Washington state, serving the 875,000 citizens of Snohomish County and Camano Island and the businesses that keep them thriving. The PUD’s service area consists of 2,200 square miles, including all of Snohomish County and Camano Island. The utility maintains more than 6,300 miles of distribution line.
