The Center’s mission is to reduce prescription drug misuse in Colorado by developing policies, programs, and partnerships with the state agencies, nonprofit organizations, and community coalitions to address one of Colorado’s major public health crises. The Colorado Consortium for Prescription Drug Misuse Prevention (Consortium) is the community engagement core of the Center. The Center is supported by and located at the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the CU Anschutz Medical Campus. The Business Operations Professional provides comprehensive operational, financial, and administrative support for the Center for Prescription Drug Misuse Prevention. This position is responsible for coordinating procurement and vendor activities, monitoring grant and program deliverables, tracking expenditures, preparing reports, supporting recruitment and onboarding activities, and coordinating events and special projects. The role ensures efficient business operations, compliance with funding and procurement requirements, and effective support of the Center’s public health programs and strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities:Coordinate and support the day-to-day operations of the Center, including planning, organizing, and implementing administrative and programmatic activities in partnership with Center leadership.Manage procurement and financial processes, including purchase orders, honoraria payments, vendor payments, sponsorships, invoices, expense reimbursements, and related financial documentation.Evaluate vendor proposals, recommend vendor selections, and assist with negotiating pricing, services, and contract terms to support Center projects and initiatives.Administer grant and program activities by tracking deliverables, expenditures, timelines, and outcomes, and preparing regular progress and financial reports for leadership and funding requirements.Support grant application and project administration processes, including coordinating requests for applications, organizing review activities, and maintaining accurate program records and documentation.Provide administrative support for recruitment, onboarding, and employee transitions, including scheduling interviews, coordinating orientation activities, and ensuring staff have the resources necessary to perform their roles.Coordinate Center-sponsored meetings, trainings, and special events; manage travel and expense processes; and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, service delivery, and organizational effectiveness. Work Location:Remote – this role is eligible to work remotely, but the employee must be in the United States. There is an expectation for the candidate to be on campus 1-2 times a year. Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social services, healthcare administration, public administration, public health, or a directly related field from an accredited institution. Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.One (1) year of professional level experience with business administration or operations. Anticipated Pay Range:The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $56,995 – $76,374. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
