Job Description

The Business Operations Manager is responsible for developing, leading, and continuously improving the organization's knowledge management and operational programs.

This role serves as the owner of the company's internal knowledge ecosystem by designing systems that improve how information is created, organized, shared, and maintained across the business. The position works cross-functionally with all departments to improve operational efficiency, strengthen collaboration, drive AI and technology adoption, and implement scalable business processes that support organizational growth.

The Business Operations Manager is expected to operate independently, identify opportunities for improvement, lead initiatives from concept through implementation, and serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on operational effectiveness and organizational knowledge strategy.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Knowledge Management Leadership
  • Develop and execute the company's Knowledge Management Strategy and Roadmap
  • Establish governance standards for documentation, version control, retention, and information architecture
  • Own the Employee Resources portal and all knowledge repositories
  • Develop standardized templates, playbooks, SOPs, policies, and documentation standards
  • Conduct routine audits to ensure documentation remains accurate, current, and accessible
  • Measure knowledge utilization and recommend continuous improvements
  • AI & Technology Adoption
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and AI tools that improve productivity
  • Advise with department leaders to implement digital solutions
  • Develop governance for AI usage across the organization
  • Lead adoption initiatives for new operational technologies
  • Train employees on effective technology utilization
  • Organizational Effectiveness
  • Collaborate with department leaders to improve collaboration across teams
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing initiatives
  • Guide organizational change management efforts
  • Improve communication flow between departments
  • Identify risks related to knowledge loss and succession planning
  • Training & Development
  • Design and deliver employee training on knowledge management systems and operational processes
  • Develop onboarding programs focused on operational readiness
  • Maintain training documentation and learning resources
  • Identify and coordinate continuous learning initiatives
  • Project Leadership
  • Lead cross-functional operational initiatives
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and success metrics
  • Guide stakeholders throughout implementation
  • Report progress and recommendations to executive leadership
  • Ensure successful adoption of new processes
  • Culture & Employee Experience
  • Develop initiatives that encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing
  • Drive company culture through engagement activities
  • Promote continuous improvement throughout the organization

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in information & knowledge strategy, operations management or information systems
  • 3–5 years of operations, knowledge management, business operations, project management, or organizational effectiveness experience
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives
  • Experience developing business processes and documentation
  • Experience implementing operational improvements
  • Experience delivering employee training.
  • Current Covid and Flu Vaccination may be required in order to be considered for the position due to client contract requirements
