What you’ll do:

The Operational Analytics & Insights (OAI) team is transforming how data and analytics support the Contact Centre by connecting operational, customer, and business data into actionable insights. Our goal is to turn trusted data into meaningful decisions that improve customer experiences, operational efficiency, and business performance.

As a Business Operations Analyst Student, you will support a variety of analytics, reporting, automation, and process improvement initiatives that help drive business outcomes:

  • Build and enhance executive and operational dashboards using Power BI and other reporting tools
  • Analyze operational and customer data to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable insights
  • Support forecasting, workforce planning, and performance measurement activities
  • Assist with data cleaning, validation, testing, governance, and quality initiatives
  • Contribute to automation projects that reduce manual work and improve reporting efficiency
  • Participate in process improvement and data transformation projects across the Contact Centre
  • Collaborate with business partners to understand requirements and translate them into solutions
  • Present findings and recommendations to team members and stakeholders
  • Assist in the transition between data warehouse platforms and new software adoption
  • Hands-on experience in analytics, reporting, automation, data governance, and business consulting
  • Exposure to tools and platforms including Power BI, SQL, Python, Databricks, Jira, NICE IEX, PEGA, AI technologies, and Microsoft applications
  • Curate knowledge and understanding of key contact center performance metrics such as service level, ASA, occupancy, adherence, etc.
  • Opportunities to contribute to high-impact initiatives that influence operational and business decisions

What you bring:

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Business, Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in turning data into insights
  • Solid foundation of relevant technical skills such as Excel, Power BI, SQL, Python, or similar technologies
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and quality
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills with the confidence and passion to share knowledge
  • A willingness to learn new technologies, processes, and business concepts
  • An interest in process improvement, operational excellence, and using data to create business value
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative environment
  • Demonstrates behaviours of transparency, accountability, agility, and learning from others that will support your success

Broadband Salary Range: $23.00 - $37.00 CAD hourly

Our typical hiring range is between $23.00 and $30.00 hourly. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements. We're committed to attracting top talent. For critical roles, the compensation offering will be reviewed to ensure alignment with market rate and conditions and the unique value you bring to the role.
