Business & Operations Analyst

Role Summary

The Business Analyst will serve as a key member of the IDC Planning & Operations team, supporting leadership through business analytics, operational planning, workforce insights, financial analysis, and strategic decision support.

The individual will be responsible for transforming complex business and operational data into actionable insights, enabling leadership to make informed decisions regarding investments, resource allocation, organization growth, program execution, and operational performance.

This role combines business analysis, planning, reporting, and business operations support within a fast-growing product engineering and innovation environment.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analytics & Decision Support

• Build and maintain executive dashboards, scorecards, and operational MIS using Power BI and Excel.
• Develop KPI frameworks and performance tracking mechanisms for organizational and program effectiveness.
• Monitor actual versus plan performance across headcount, operating expenses, project investments, and organizational goals.
• Conduct trend analysis, variance analysis, and root cause investigations to identify opportunities and risks.
• Generate actionable insights that support leadership decision-making.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews through analytics and reporting.

Planning & Analytics

• Support spend planning and forecasting activities.
• Analyze actual versus planned headcount, spend, and operational metrics.
• Perform trend analysis and identify improvement opportunities.
• Prepare data-driven recommendations for leadership.

Workforce & Resource Analytics

• Track hiring progress and onboarding metrics.
• Monitor workforce capacity, utilization, and resource mix.
• Support headcount planning and organizational reviews.
• Develop workforce planning dashboards.

Leadership Reviews

• Prepare business review presentations.
• Consolidate metrics across engineering, finance, and operations teams.
• Support weekly, monthly and quarterly operating reviews.

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to automate reporting and operational processes.
• Improve data quality and reporting efficiency.
• Standardize reporting methodologies.
