Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial operations within the business office, including billing, collections, and accounts receivable management
• Manage and coordinate admissions processes, ensuring timely and accurate documentation
• Handle various payor sources, including Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and other third-party payors
• Perform reconciliation of accounts and financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to facilitate smooth admission and discharge procedures
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to billing and financial practices
• Prepare financial reports and analyze data to support operational decision-making
• Supervise and train business office staff, fostering a team-oriented environment

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a business office or financial management role within a skilled nursing or healthcare setting
• Strong knowledge of payor sources, billing, and reimbursement processes
• Excellent reconciliation and accounting skills
• Ability to manage high volumes of admissions and financial transactions efficiently
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Proficiency in healthcare billing software and Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BA degree in Accounting or Business is preferred.

Licenses/Certification:

• Valid driver’s license required

Experience

• Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
• Three years of experience in accounts receivable, collections or similar area of responsibility.
• Three years office or administration experience preferred.
