One of Capital Group’s strategic priorities is to grow our business and service clients in Europe and Asia. The Business Management (BM) function within the Client Group is designed to help the global and local client group leadership achieve that goal by working on a wide variety of initiatives to support growth. The BM role works closely with Heads of Client Groups, Sales Leadership and the broader Salesforce, Product & Marketing leadership across geographies, with a focus on Southeast Asia and Greater China.

Responsibilities include business case creation, presentation development, business planning, dealing with client-related issues and working with multiple functions at Capital to ensure the effective execution of the business plan. The BM role will be given a lot of responsibility and work on a constant flow of high-priority activities.

Primary Responsibilities:

Business Office / Planning

  • Leads the annual business planning process within the client group, including defining and implementing the planning process.
  • Works closely with the Sales and Client Relations, Product, BM and Operations, and Marketing teams to build and validate the plans.
  • Socializes and refines the plans with the leadership team.
  • Tracks the plans during the year and gives ad hoc updates to committees.
  • Works closely with Europe Asia Client Group (EACG) leadership teams and EACG business management on a wide range business planning and strategic reviews.

Business Operations

  • Partner with sales teams on business enablement, including capability mapping and structural design to improve our client group go-to-market capabilities.
  • Works closely with sales to understand and resolve critical and tactical issues or requests related to business development.
  • Works with Global Finance on budgets and financial reporting.
  • Work closely with teams within and external to the client group such as Sales and Client Relations, Product, Marketing, Investment operations, Legal and compliance on initiatives that require support.
  • Participate in various governance groups to help run the business.

Strategic Business Initiatives

  • Leads, project manages or participates in the development of business capabilities or other regional initiatives, including developing new market, product or functional initiatives. Partners with business units to gain an understanding of needs and requirements, develops and documents plans for execution and engages stakeholders to deliver on initiatives.
  • Targeted client Interaction on specific initiatives, e.g. Strategic client development and consulting.

Sales Team Oversight

  • Supports business leads in monitoring and managing the performance of the client group.
  • Working with stakeholders to develop and maintain effective metrics and reporting.
  • Helping senior management have a good view of the operational landscape, enabling senior management team to make sound business decisions.

Business Management at Capital

  • Working on ad hoc global BM initiatives.
  • Ongoing development of BM standards and working practices.
  • Works closely with the BM team in Europe and Asia.

  • Strong executive presence and confidence in leading discussions, facilitating decision-making, and presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • High level of attention to detail while maintaining the ability to think strategically and understand broader business implications.
  • Demonstrated learning agility, adaptability, and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree with approximately 10+ years of relevant professional experience.

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
