About the Role…  

As a  Business Manager in our  Workforce Australia Employment Services team, you’ll lead a passionate group of consultants at our Flemington VIC site. Your mission: drive performance, support your team, and deliver life-changing employment outcomes for job seekers.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and inspire a team of Employment Consultants to exceed performance targets.

  • Ensure compliance with Workforce Australia contractual obligations.

  • Build strong relationships with local employers, community groups, and stakeholders.

  • Monitor and report on site performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.

A great Business Manager possesses a strategic mindset, with the ability to interpret data effectively, build strong local business relationships, and plan proactively for sustainable success. Resilience and advanced problem-solving skills are essential, enabling the manager to navigate complex challenges with confidence and agility. Capabilities & Experience

  • Experience in Employment Services or clearly demonstrated transferable skills.

  • People leadership exposure and/or understanding.

  • Strong understanding of Workforce Australia or related government programs.

  • Sound understanding of the Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) & Indigenous contracts (Not mandatory).

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).

  • Results-driven mindset with a passion for helping others succeed.

  • Ability to work unsupervised in challenging environments.

  • Proven experience working in a high-performance driven environment.

  • Demonstrable ability to build positive working relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Eligibility to meet legislative requirements for clearance to work in the Employment Services programs.

To be considered, you will have... 

  • Eligibility to work in Australia 

  • A current driver’s licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle 

  • A MyID (Standard level) 

  • Willing to complete a National Police Check 

  • Able to pass a Working with Children Check 

  • Available to work Full-Time Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
