This opportunity sits at the centre of our business, leading a team of nine across key finance functions and helping create the structure, rhythm and accountability that allows the wider business to perform at its best.

While a background in finance leadership is important, this role is less about doing every task yourself and more about leading others well, lifting performance, and creating a more efficient and connected finance functions.

What you will do

  • Lead, coach and support a team of nine across a broad finance function including stock control, invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, assistant accounting support and hospitality accounting
  • Create a strong team culture built on accountability, communication, trust and support
  • Hold regular check ins, provide clear direction, and help your teamwork through challenges with confidence
  • Drive efficiency across finance systems and processes, identifying better ways of working and improving how the team delivers outcomes
  • Partner with business leaders to provide financial insight that supports planning, decision making and performance improvement
  • Oversee the rhythm of the finance function, ensuring priorities are clear, deadlines are met, and the team is set up for success
  • Strengthen structure, consistency and reporting across the team while encouraging ownership and capability growth
  • Support a collaborative and service driven approach across Hospitality, Fresh Cut and the wider Kalis Group

What you will bring

  • Proven experience leading and developing a multi-functional team
  • A calm, capable and organised leadership style, with the ability to manage competing priorities and bring clarity to complexity
  • Strong people management skills, including coaching, regular check ins, performance conversations and day to day support
  • A natural problem solver who can work through challenges, improve processes and keep people moving forward
  • The ability to build strong working relationships across different parts of the business
  • Experience in finance leadership, with a solid understanding of business operations and the importance of accuracy, accountability and continuous improvement
  • A value led approach, with a genuine alignment to Community, Growth, Honesty and Respect
