Job Description

Help shape the success of Scottish Government funding programmes while being at the heart of a busy and collaborative team.

Join the DCME Division and play an important role in supporting the effective delivery of grant funding, financial management and business operations across the Scottish Government. Our team is committed to ensuring strong governance, excellent stakeholder support and efficient business processes that help deliver positive outcomes for people and communities across Scotland.

As a key member of the team, you will manage grant payments through Oracle, support financial monitoring activities, and provide a wide range of business support services that keep the division running smoothly. Your work will help ensure funding is administered effectively, information is managed appropriately, and colleagues and stakeholders receive the support they need to achieve shared objectives.

This role provides grant management and payment processing support through the Oracle financial system, alongside a range of business support responsibilities that help ensure the smooth operation of the division -internally and externally.

The primary objective of the role is to support effective financial management, information governance, and organisational coordination, enabling the division to deliver its priorities efficiently and effectively.

  • Responsibilities
  • Manage grant administration and payment processing through the Oracle financial system, ensuring funding is paid accurately and on time.
  • Support budget monitoring and financial reporting processes, helping to track expenditure and identify emerging issues or risks.
  • Work with funded organisations to monitor expenditure profiles and support effective financial management of grant awards.
  • Act as Information Management Support Officer (IMSO), promoting good information governance and records management practices.
  • Prepare and coordinate briefings, submissions, correspondence and other key documents to support decision-making.
  • Organise and facilitate meetings, workshops and stakeholder engagements, ensuring clear agendas, effective coordination and timely follow-up of actions.
  • Build strong working relationships with colleagues and external partners, providing responsive and professional support.
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the division by delivering high-quality administrative and operational support, while identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working.

Every day will be different, with different challenges and learning opportunities, but you’ll always be at the heart of a small, friendly division.
