Job Description

Job Title: Business Management – Associate

Location: Mumbai, India

The role is an extension of the onshore Global Financing and Credit Trading (GFCT) Business Management & Control team. It involves liaising with COOs and Business Managers in GFCT and Infrastructure partners. The role requires hands-on individual, who will be involved in the day to day running of the business & responsible for business management & control activities for Europe GFCT business.

Work includes:

  • Delivering and improving the functions performed by the Business Management community
  • Researching and analysing industry and competitive trends to identify emerging market opportunities and strategic areas of interest
  • Identifying and prioritising improvement opportunities and supporting the implementation of discreet sub-units, be they products, desks, infrastructure or control areas of activity or a geographical region
  • Developing complex forecasting models, budgets, resource allocation and plans for projects
  • utilising comprehensive knowledge of company's internal operations to develop forward-looking focus for business
  • Synthesizing and collating business insights for specific divisional stakeholders and supporting the improvement of policies, processes and procedures to deliver consistent and reliable products / services
  • Engaging with relevant internal and external stakeholders to deliver the best value for functions / units
  • Building relationships with external points of contact (e.g. regulators, auditors, etc.) and industry bodie

Your key responsibilities

The candidate will be involved in:

  • Assisting in end-to-end execution of transactions, including pricing, modelling, approvals and legal documentation.
  • Conducting corporate credit analysis, building financial models, helping on documentation and internal approvals, and engaging with coverage and clients on origination.
  • Helping the desk in managing various risks (market risk, credit risk, liquidity risk, etc.)
  • Modeling of new structured financing transactions and adapting existing models to new regulation / metrics.
  • Understanding legal covenants, termination triggers and other bespoke conditions for existing trades and providing inputs in documentation of new trades in order to capture risks appropriately.

Your skills and experience

  • Strong financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, process/statistical analysis, and senior management presentation skills.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities, with a clear and compelling communication style.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, with strong organization and ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
  • Prior Financial Markets or Investment Banking project experience preferred, including business analysis, program management, process improvement, change adoption, or test management.

Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
