The India Area Business Manager role gives the individual the opportunity to play a key role in the India subsidiary. The Business Manager is the chief-of-staff of the Area Vice President (AVP), supporting strategic activity and alignment, on behalf of the Leader, across the business and with business partners to ensure subsidiary goals are achieved. The role reports to India CVP.

Responsibilities

1. Drive Rhythm-Of-the Business orchestration and facilitation

• Drive ROB planning and execution of MCAPS India Area SLT meetings including agenda and content
• Work closely with India and Corp Stakeholders for global QBCs and other Corp meetings, Area Meetings (including Area Kickoff, Monthly Townhalls)
• Work closely with Functional teams (Finance, HR, CELA) to drive key functional milestones
• In partnership with communications team, work to ensure effective communication to internal and external stakeholders
• Work with the India SLT and other leaders of the India Leadership team to drive the One-Microsoft India agenda
• For all action items, drive planning, preparation, execution and follow-up with all business and functional teams 

1. Business Manager - Microsoft India agenda and engagements

• End to end content ownership (design, preparation and delivery) for external events and meetings (customer / partner / influencers) of AVP
• Build analytics and insights to deliver impactful business outcomes from all engagements
• Deliver end-to-end impactful visits of senior executives (e.g. CEO, EVPs, CVPs, other leaders) that advance our strategy and key business objectives
• Partner with AVPs Executive Business Admin to ensure effective time allocation to enable him to achieve commitments and business objectives
• Drive employee engagemnet and culture.

1. Support AVP, Microsoft India on Transformational Projects

• Support AVP in contributions to transformational projects
• Work closely with MCAPS India Area LT members on specific transformational projects.
• Serve as Project Lead or Project Manager for strategic projects.
• Work closely with SE&O Lead, CFO to drive growth agenda 

Qualifications

• A combination of an engineering / technology degree plus MBA
• High on executive presence, ability to lead via influence, collaboration and building credibility
• Good at working in a matrixed environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience of working in an agile environment with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
• Ability to travel extensively to drive external and internal engagements across India.
• Minimum 12+ years relevant experience
• Experience in Marketing/Partner/Sales/technology/Start-up roles is highly desired
• People management experience, especially in Microsoft is highly desired
