Role Purpose

As a Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, contributing to scholarly activities, supporting student success, and undertaking academic and administrative responsibilities in line with GIE's policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities Teaching & Learning

• Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, workshops, and seminars.
• Develop engaging learning experiences using effective teaching methodologies and technology.
• Set, assess, and grade assignments, examinations, and other assessments.
• Conduct periodic reviews of course syllabi to ensure consistency across the department.
• Maintain course documentation, weekly teaching plans, and assessment records.

Student Support

• Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students.
• Identify and support academically at-risk students through structured action plans.
• Review student feedback and implement improvements in teaching practices.
• Foster an inclusive and engaging classroom environment.

Academic Excellence

• Collaborate with faculty members to enhance teaching quality and curriculum development.
• Stay current with developments in the discipline through research, publications, and professional development.
• Participate in institutional training, meetings, conferences, and academic initiatives.

Industry Engagement & Continuous Improvement

• Support industry engagement activities and strengthen relationships with corporate partners.
• Facilitate industry-linked learning and assessments across academic programs.
• Drive continuous improvement in:
  • Instructional resources
  • Learning assessment and quality enhancement
  • Library and digital learning resources
  • Classroom technology utilization
  • Workshops, seminars, and industry engagement events

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Master's Degree in a relevant Business discipline (mandatory).
• PhD preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in Higher Education, preferably combined with relevant industry experience.
• Professional certifications in Business-related disciplines are an advantage.
• Demonstrated academic and research achievements.
• Strong subject expertise with the ability to integrate technology into teaching.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
