Job Description

Meta is seeking a Business Lead to support special projects and senior executive engagements. This role operates at the intersection of strategy, operations, and external affairs — ensuring seamless coordination across C-suite interactions, government and institutional partnerships, and high-visibility initiatives. The ideal candidate brings direct experience staffing senior principals, managing complex stakeholder ecosystems, and thriving in high-tempo environments with shifting priorities.

Responsibilities
Develop and coordinate strategic briefing materials, talking points, and preparation packets for senior executives ahead of external engagements with government leaders, policymakers, and institutional partners
* Serve as the on-the-ground operational lead for executive travel — managing logistics, real-time problem-solving, run-of-show execution, and ensuring principals are fully briefed and supported across domestic and international engagements
* Drive high-priority, cross-functional initiatives from scoping through execution on compressed timelines, often with direct visibility to Meta's most senior leadership
* Manage and advance relationships with elected officials, government stakeholders, and external institutional partners to support Meta's strategic objectives
* Draft high-impact correspondence, briefing memos, and messaging frameworks that synthesize complex issues into actionable insights for senior decision-makers
* Lead planning and execution of executive-level convenings, roundtables, and stakeholder engagements — coordinating participants, content development, and follow-through
* Serve as a connective node between internal teams and external partners, ensuring alignment across multiple concurrent workstreams and stakeholder groups

Qualifications
Proven ability to manage competing priorities under pressure with sound judgment and discretion
* Willingness and ability to travel frequently (as needed, up to 50%+)
* 1+ years of professional experience in government affairs, political operations, chief of staff functions, intergovernmental relations, or executive support roles
* Experience coordinating national travel, event logistics, and programming for senior leaders
* Bachelor's degree
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to distill complex policy or business issues into clear, concise executive-ready materials
* Direct experience preparing briefing materials and staffing senior principals (e.g., elected officials, C-suite executives, or senior government leaders) for high-stakes engagements
* Demonstrated experience managing political or institutional partnerships across multiple stakeholders simultaneously Strong interpersonal instincts — able to navigate complex political dynamics, build trust quickly, and operate with discretion in sensitive environments
* Communications, Political Science, or Public Policy academic background
* Experience in the White House, Executive Office of the President, Congressional offices, or equivalent senior government environments
* Experience in higher education policy, advocacy, or government relations
* Experience serving as a liaison between senior leadership and external government or institutional stakeholders (e.g., Governors, mayors, statewide officials)
* Background in political campaigns, including staffing principals for national travel and public engagements
* Familiarity with federal legislative and regulatory processes
* Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
* Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
* Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
