The Business Investment Manager plays a critical role in enabling high-quality, well-governed investment decisions across the entire Customers and Products business This role supports a broad spectrum of resource commitments, including capital investments, divestments, long-term commercial agreements, leases, and operational decisions. The business manager provides financial modeling, governance assurance, and strategic insight across a range of investment types, ensuring alignment with bp’s investment governance standards and strategic objectives. This role will work very closely with team members co-located with our businesses
" Support investment decisions across the entire Customers and Products organization, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and governance standards. This includes full support for projects at SVP level and above and support as needed for below SVP.
" Contribute to initiatives involving commercial structuring, asset strategy, and long-term resource planning.
" Lead scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to inform decisions under varying market, regulatory, and operational conditions.
" Manage project hoppers and dashboards that track financial performance, risk, and benefit realization across diverse investment types.
" Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of Ways of Working (WoW), helping to clarify roles, streamline processes, and embed best practices across the investment lifecycle.

" Develop, review, and assure financial models for any Customers and Products business to include investments, divestments, and strategic commitments.

Essential Experience and Capabilities " Strong financial modeling and investment appraisal experience across varied investment types. " Proven ability to manage complex, multi-variable cases and provide strategic insight. " Experience with lease structures, site economics, divestment modeling, and commercial agreements. " Familiarity with bp’s EEM, GIAAP standards, and Delegations of Authority. " Proficiency in Excel and Power BI; ability to adapt and enhance models for unique scenarios. " Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. " Proven ability using advanced AI technology to reduce manual processes Desireable Experience: " Familiarity with bp’s EEM, GIAAP standards, and Delegations of Authority. Desirable Qualifications " Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field. " Experience in convenience retail, real estate, refining, or downstream energy operations. " Exposure to investment governance and assurance practices.
