Team Overview
The Business Intelligence Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the analytical strategy, data quality, and operational insights across the KYC, Fraud, Risk and Collections domains. This role leads a team of Business Intelligence Specialists, ensuring that all deliverables—reports, dashboards, forecasts, OKRs, KPIs, and incentive calculations—are delivered accurately, on time, and aligned with business objectives.
Beyond supervision, the BI Team Leader acts as a strategic bridge between operations, risk, and product teams, connecting insights across multiple processes to identify trends, propose improvements, and drive data-based decision-making. This position ensures the consistency, traceability, and integrity of all operational metrics and supports the continuous development of the BI function within the organization.
Role Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Delivery Oversight
- Lead, mentor, guide and supervise the BI Specialists team across different operational areas (KYC, Fraud, and Collections).
- Oversee daily and weekly deliverables, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of all reports and dashboards.
- Establish and monitor quality control processes for data validation, report integrity, and metric accuracy.
- Conduct periodic reviews of deliverables, providing feedback and coaching to elevate analytical rigor and presentation quality.
- Reports to senior manager highlights of all risk processes
- Analyse trends, root cause deviations.
- Incentive Design & Governance
- Oversee the design, simulation, and implementation of all performance bonus schemes across operational areas.
- Ensure alignment of incentives with OKRs, budget limits, and corporate policies.
- Validate all redesign proposals before deployment, ensuring feasibility and fairness.
- Maintain governance and documentation of incentive models for audit and transparency.
- Metric Development & Analytical Strategy
- Supervise the design and implementation of new metrics and dashboards to reflect operational priorities and evolving business needs.
- Connect analytical findings across areas (KYC, Fraud, Collections) to identify interdependencies and systemic improvement opportunities.
- Ensure metric standardization across teams, maintaining clear definitions and consistent methodologies.
- Partner with the Data Engineering and RD teams to validate new data sources or enhance existing data pipelines.
- Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the primary BI liaison with Operations, Risk, and Management teams, aligning priorities and information needs.
- Translate business requirements into analytical solutions and guide the BI Specialists through implementation.
- Present key insights, performance summaries, and improvement recommendations to senior management.
- Coordinate with the global BI and Policy teams (e.g., China BI) to ensure metric alignment and data consistency across regions.
- Process Improvement & Data Governance
- Drive continuous improvement in BI processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency and scalability.
- Implement data governance practices to ensure accuracy, traceability, and version control across reports.
- Standardize documentation for all KPIs, dashboards, and reporting processes.
- Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve report turnaround time.

- Supervise the development of volume forecasts, scheduling models, and capacity simulations supporting operational planning.
- Consolidate insights across BI domains to provide management with an integrated view of performance trends and business risks.
- Support strategic decision-making by identifying emerging patterns and proposing actionable, data-based solutions.
- Talent Development & Knowledge Management
- Coach and guide BI Specialists, fostering analytical growth and professional development.
- Promote a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement within the BI team.
- Ensure knowledge sharing and cross-training across BI domains to guarantee business continuity.
