Business Intelligence Manager | Consultancy

Our client, a global and one of the leading consultancy firms is currently hiring for a Business Intelligence Manager in Cork on a permanent basis.

The role will be responsible for leading and managing business intelligence efforts to support clients' business goals. You will work closely with clients, cross-functional teams, and data experts to develop and implement data-driven solutions that drive business growth and optimise decision-making processes.

The Role

• Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives, data-related challenges, and strategic priorities.
• Identify opportunities to leverage data analytics and business intelligence to address client needs and enhance their competitive advantage.
• Establish and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor in BI and analytics.
• Define and develop comprehensive business intelligence strategies that align with clients' goals and objectives.
• Manage multiple projects from conception to delivery.
• Assess current data infrastructure, identify gaps, and recommend strategies for data management, analytics, and reporting.
• Oversee the design and development of data architectures, data warehousing solutions, and ETL processes.
• Ensure test plans are developed and executed in line with project requirements.
• Lead the creation of interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualisations that provide actionable insights.
• Implement strategies to improve system performance and responsiveness.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities for team members.
• Monitor work of team members to ensure effective project implementation and performance is maximised.

The Person

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Math, Analytics, Information Systems).
• 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis or data warehousing.
• Proven experience managing a team and delegating tasks.
• Ability to translate raw data into meaningful dashboards and reports.
• Strong knowledge of BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, IBM Cognos or similar.
• Proficiency in data modelling, SQL, ETL processes, and data visualisation.
• Ability to design complex calculations in DAX.
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams and delivering multiple projects from conception to delivery.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
