The Business Intelligence (BI) Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports that deliver actionable insights to business stakeholders. This role works closely with data engineers, analysts, and business units to transform data into visually compelling and user-friendly reporting solutions using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric. The BI Developer plays a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. Reports directly to the Data and Analytics Program Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizations
Collaborate with business users to gather reporting requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions
Connect to and model data from Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouses and Dataflows
Optimize report performance and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability
Implement and follow data governance, security, and access control standards
Support and train end users on Power BI and self-service reporting
Maintain documentation for report logic, data sources, and visualizations
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
· 3+ years of experience in BI development or data visualization roles
· Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling
· Experience working with Microsoft Fabric and integrating data from Lakehouses and Dataflows
· Solid understanding of data visualization best practices and user experience design
· Experience in Agile environments and with tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira preferred
· Familiarity with SQL and working with structured and semi-structured data
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills
