The Business Intelligence Developer plays a crucial role in translating complex data into actionable insights for our lifestyle apparel brands. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining robust BI solutions, ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely data for informed decision-making. They collaborate closely with the Product Owner to align their work with the overall data strategy, and actively participate in defining and refining user stories and tasks within JIRA. Their expertise in data modeling, visualization, and analytics is fundamental in supporting both operational and reporting needs, making them a key asset in driving the success of our data-driven initiatives.

  • Skillfully integrate and model data from diverse sources into PowerBI, ensuring accurate and efficient data structures for reporting.
  • Design and construct detailed reports and interactive dashboards in PowerBI and Excel, emphasizing usability and clarity.
  • Utilize data transformation techniques to prepare datasets for optimal reporting and visualization.
  • Actively collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs, translating these into functional and visually appealing BI solutions.
  • Continuously refine and enhance reports and dashboards, incorporating feedback and evolving business requirements.
  • Implement rigorous data quality checks and validation processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of reports and dashboards.
  • Optimize the performance of reports and dashboards, ensuring fast load times and efficient data retrieval, even with large datasets.
  • Develop custom visualizations in PowerBI to meet unique business requirements, ensuring that complex data is presented in an accessible and engaging manner.
  • Work within an agile framework, prioritizing tasks and adapting quickly to changes in project scopes or business needs, with a focus on delivering value through BI tools.
  • Support IT/Operations with IT issues and respond to questions as the need arises.
  • Experienced professional who typically performs moderately complex to complex work
  • Utilizes creative and/or technical skills, knowledge, etc. to complete the assigned work

Pay is based on multiple factors, such as qualifications/skills/experience, geography, and state and local wage laws. In addition, bonus and/or commission and benefits including healthcare, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and product discounts may be offered.

Range for the position is $79,600 - $132,600

Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience required.

Experience and Skills

  • 4+ years’ experience in data management and data warehousing technologies related to data modeling, database design, ETL development, and BI reporting.
  • Excellent SQL and data warehouse skills.
  • Experience writing complex queries on large data sets.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence Platforms: Power BI
  • Understanding and experience with designing building data models that drive decisions
  • Expertise with cloud database technologies like Snowflake
  • Understanding of data modeling skills (i.e. conceptual, logical and physical model design - with both traditional 3rd normal form as well as dimensional modeling, such as star and snowflake)
  • Advanced Excel skills
