Join the RPID Insights and Analytics team as a Business Intelligence Data Analyst and help transform data into actionable insight. You'll develop dashboards, reports and analytical solutions that support decision-making, improve performance and drive data-informed outcomes across the Division.
We have an opportunity for a B2 Business Intelligence Data Analyst to join the Rural Payments and Inspections Division (RPID) Insights and Analytics team on a permanent basis to support delivery of innovative analytical solutions that enable colleagues to better understand performance, customer outcomes and operational risks. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with skills in data analysis, visualisation and stakeholder engagement.
The RPID Insights and Analytics team sits at the heart of the Division's ambition to become a more data-driven organisation. Working closely with operational and corporate colleagues, the team delivers high-quality reporting, analysis and insight that supports strategic decision-making, drives continuous improvement and helps ensure resources are targeted where they can have the greatest impact.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality business intelligence, reporting and analytical insight to support operational and strategic decision-making across RPID. Working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, they will develop and enhance dashboards, reports and analytical products, ensuring decision-makers have access to accurate, timely and actionable information. Through the effective use of data and analytics, the role will contribute to improved business performance, continuous improvement and the successful delivery of divisional priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality business intelligence, analysis and insight that supports the delivery of RPID's strategic and operational objectives.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business challenges and opportunities, translating requirements into effective analytical solutions.
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, data models and automated processes that provide trusted and accessible management information.
Interpret and communicate complex data to a variety of audiences, presenting clear insights and recommendations that inform decision-making.
Champion data governance, quality assurance and analytical best practice, ensuring data is managed consistently and effectively.
Design innovative interim digital solutions that improve operational efficiency and enable data-driven performance management across the Division.
Working pattern
This role is a permanent level transfer position.
Our standard hours are 35 hours per week and we offer a range of flexible working options depending on the needs of the role, including Flexi-leave. Scottish Government staff in hybrid-compatible roles should aim to work in-person 40% of the time, either in an office or other agreed work location.
