That’s why a career with us means creating the future you want, while helping the NRMA Group to keep moving Australia forward. Together, we can make a difference.

What you’ll do

The BI Data Analyst plays a trusted role in delivering high‑quality, actionable insights that support effective decision‑making across the Roadside business. Working closely with operational, technical, finance and customer teams, this role translates complex data into clear analysis, reporting and dashboards that enable teams to understand performance, identify opportunities and respond to emerging issues.

This role suits an experienced data analyst who is comfortable working with stakeholders, applying sound analytical judgement, and owning reporting and dashboard outcomes end‑to‑end, while continuing to refine their technical and business capability within a collaborative environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Own and deliver recurring operational and performance reporting using governed, trusted data sources
  • Design, build and maintain dashboards and visualisations in BI tools and supporting tools, ensuring clarity, relevance and usability
  • Partner with stakeholders to shape analytical requirements and translate business questions into structured analyses
  • Deliver ad‑hoc analysis and insights to support decision‑making, investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Apply strong data visualisation principles to ensure outputs are governed, consistent and supported by clear definitions and assumptions
  • Maintain strong data documentation, including data definitions, lineage and refresh schedules as standard practice
  • Monitor data quality and reporting reliability, contributing to incident triage and continuous improvement
  • Work within sprint and backlog processes, prioritising work effectively and maintaining high standards of delivery
  • Apply data governance, privacy and access controls consistently when handling sensitive or regulated information

What You’ll Bring

Essential Skills & Experience

  • 3–5 years’ experience in a BI, analytics or data analysis role (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong SQL capability with experience working across complex datasets
  • Ability to translate data into accurate, fit‑for‑purpose visualisations aligned to audience and context
  • Proven experience designing and delivering intuitive dashboards using BI platforms
  • Strong analytical judgement, with the ability to independently structure and execute analysis
  • Clear communication skills, with confidence explaining insights and limitations to non‑technical audiences
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality, reliability and governance
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes with guidance

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working with AI‑enabled tools to support analysis, automation, or decision‑making tasks
  • Working knowledge of Python, R, Power Query/M, analytics engineering or CI/CD practices
  • Experience operating in Agile or sprint‑based delivery environments

Qualifications

  • Degree in Analytics, STEM, Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
