Job Description

The mid-level BI Analyst will support the NAVSUP Business Systems Center (BSC) in maintaining and expanding the NAVSUP Enterprise Web (NEW) environment. This is a critical role in the lifecycle of custom applications, including MyNAVSUP, by translating complex data into actionable insights that drive Navy supply chain and logistics performance.

Responsibilities

• Application Development Support: Collaborate with developers to design and implement BI solutions within the MyNAVSUP portal and other NEW custom applications.

• Data Analysis & Reporting: Query large datasets from the Navy Data Platform (NDP) and Navy Business Intelligence Services (NBIS) to produce financial, supply chain, and workforce reports.

• Dashboard Development: Create and maintain interactive metrics dashboards using tools like Tableau, SAP BusinessObjects, or Power BI to monitor NEW environment health and application usage.

• Requirement Gathering: Act as a bridge between NAVSUP stakeholders and IT teams to translate mission requirements into scalable data models and technical specifications.

• System Maintenance: Monitor data integrity across the NEW environment and provide technical support for existing reports and analytical tools.

• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation for data dictionaries, operational procedures, and BI system components to ensure enterprise-wide continuity.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship and Active DoD Clearance.
• Minimum of 3–6 years of experience in data analysis, report writing, or business intelligence, preferably within a Department of Defense (DoD) or Navy environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Proficiency in SQL for querying complex databases.
• Hands-on experience with BI tools such as SAP BusinessObjects, Tableau, or IBM Cognos.
• Familiarity with web-based application environments and portal structures (e.g., AWS GovCloud)

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Informatica or other ETL tools used within the Navy Business Intelligence Services.

• Knowledge of Navy Supply Systems Command operations, including logistics and ERP extranet processes.

• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst, or Tableau Desktop Specialist.

Target Pay Range

The below listed pay range for this position is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The final offered salary will be influenced by a host of factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
