About the Unit
Yara is the world's largest producer of ammonia, nitrates and NPKs, offering solutions for sustainable agriculture respecting the environment. Our fertilizers and our crop nutrition programs were designed to help the sector of food production and to meet the needs of a growing world population. Our products and solutions help industry reduce emissions, improve air quality and prioritize effective operations safely. Yara Africa & Asia (YAA) produces, sells, distributes and markets fertilizers and industrial products across Asia Pacific and Africa regions, with offices location and operational units in 20 countries. The region employs over 1800 employees and has a long history in the Asian Pacific and African markets, focusing on develop crop nutrition concepts that increase food production and create value to the growers, in particular smallholder farmers, whilst minimizing environmental impact of agricultural activities. YAA is currently undergoing a major transformation, aimed at shifting the existing business models, generating new revenue streams and ultimately delivering profit through new Farming Solutions related activities.
This position encompasses:
• Leading high-impact analytical and business intelligence projects that directly influence executive deci-sion-making and organizational strategy
• Serving as the subject matter expert in advanced analytics and business intelligence methodologies, driv-ing innovation in analytical and reporting approaches
• Establish best practices, analytical standards, and strict data accuracy protocols across analytics and BI delivery, acting as the primary liaison between data capabilities and business leadership to ensure com-mercial teams have highly reliable data for strategic initiatives.

Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in BI and analytics to ensure YTH remains competitive
• At least a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Sci-ence, Economics) or a closely related field. A Master's degree is a bonus.
• At least 8 years of progressive experience in a similar quantitative, analytical role, demonstrating in-creasing responsibility and complexity of projects.
• Advanced coursework or professional development in statistics, machine learning, business intelli-gence, or related analytical disciplines
• Proven track record of leading high-impact analytical projects that have influenced strategic business decisions
• Proactively identify, thoroughly troubleshoot, and independently provide robust and scalable solutions to complex data quality issues across diverse datasets.
• Proven ability to resolve data conflicts and discrepancies that impact multiple business units
• Expert in performing advanced Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA), identifying patterns, anomalies, and correlations, and translating these into actionable business insights.
• Advanced expertise in statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and machine learning applications for business problems
