Business Intelligence & Analytics Specialist

ABOUT THE ROLE
JLL Technologies is seeking a Business Intelligence & Analytics Specialist to support the daily administration and operational excellence of our enterprise BI platforms. Based in Mexico and partnering with a global team, you will ensure stability, security, and continuous improvement of Power BI, Tableau, and SSRS environments across on-premises and Azure cloud infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically grounded BI professional looking to grow within a complex, high-impact data environment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Perform daily administration, monitoring, and support for enterprise BI platforms including Power BI, Tableau, and SSRS, ensuring operational stability and user satisfaction.
• Support the migration of SSRS reports from SQL Server to Databricks, assisting with mapping, validation, and troubleshooting throughout the process.
• Execute and validate OS upgrades from Windows Server 2016 to Windows Server 2022, including application updates and compatibility checks.
• Administer BI platform environments across on-premises and Azure cloud, ensuring security, stability, and configuration standards are maintained.
• Manage workspace creation, permissions, and data access configurations; support business units with BI security and access needs.
• Administer licensing and subscriptions; monitor user activity and resource utilization.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell and Python scripts to automate routine platform management and migration tasks.
• Provide end-user support and resolve issues related to migration, OS upgrades, and application compatibility.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, data refresh, and platform incidents; escalate to vendor support as needed.
• Conduct access reviews, audit log analysis, and compliance checks to ensure data protection and regulatory adherence.
• Track and report upgrade and migration progress to managers and technical leads.
• Manage work tickets for SSRS report modifications and underlying SQL code.
• Support custom solutions built on Tableau and SSRS across on-premises and Azure-hosted environments.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support BI platform adoption and operational efficiency.
• Participate in on-call rotational weekend support as part of the enterprise support model.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Experience & Education
• 6+ years of overall experience, with 3+ years in BI platform administration or a related analytics engineering role.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Strong computer science fundamentals with demonstrated ability to work in 24x7 onshore/offshore team environments.
Technical Skills & Competencies
• Hands-on experience in daily administration of Power BI, Tableau, and SSRS platforms.
• Working knowledge of SSRS report migration from SQL Server to Databricks, including deployment best practices and validation.
• Experience performing Windows OS upgrades, including application updates and compatibility assessments.
• Proficiency in developing, executing, and troubleshooting PowerShell and Python scripts for BI platform automation.
• Strong understanding of hybrid on-premises and Azure cloud BI administration.
• Solid knowledge of workspace and user access management, tenant settings, licensing, and subscriptions.
• Familiarity with audit log reviews, compliance checks, and security protocols in BI environments.
• Ability to manage report deployments, issue tracking, and support ticket resolution.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Collaborative team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, support-driven environment.
