We're seeking a skilled and motivated Business Intelligence Analyst to join the Data and Information Management Team within the Biodiversity Offsets Scheme. In this role, you will use data, analytics and business intelligence skills to support critical biodiversity conservation outcomes across NSW.
Working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams and external partners, you'll develop data models and Power BI reports that provide valuable insights and support evidence-based decision-making.
You'll play a key role in transforming complex data into meaningful information, improving business processes and enabling the effective delivery of the Biodiversity Offset Scheme.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced analyst who is passionate about data, enjoys solving complex business challenges, and thrives in a collaborative environment. You'll have the chance to work with modern technologies, including Microsoft Fabric, and contributing to initiatives that help protect and conserve NSW's unique natural environment.
Ideal candidates will bring experience in Power BI reporting, data modelling, analytics and stakeholder engagement, along with strong problem-solving and project delivery skills.
About You
We are looking for a highly motivated and analytical Business Intelligence Analyst who is passionate about using data to drive better business outcomes and support environmental conservation initiatives. You will bring demonstrated experience in data analysis and visualisation, with strong skills in Power BI and semantic data modelling.
The ideal candidate will be a collaborative problem-solver who can translate complex business requirements into practical data solutions, build strong stakeholder relationships and communicate technical information to a range of audiences. You will be comfortable managing competing priorities, working across multidisciplinary teams and contributing to the successful delivery of projects from concept through to implementation.
Most importantly, you will have a continuous improvement mindset, a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes and a desire to make a meaningful impact through data-driven decision-making that supports biodiversity and environmental outcomes across NSW.
