Business Intelligence Analyst | Consultancy

Our client, a global and one of the leading consultancy firms is currently hiring for a Business Intelligence Analyst in Cork on a permanent basis.

The role will collaborate with clients to understand their data-related challenges, design data-driven solutions, and implement strategies to enhance their business intelligence capabilities. You will leverage your expertise in data analysis, technology, and business acumen to provide valuable insights that support informed decision-making and improve organisational performance.

The Role

• Conduct in-depth consultations with clients to understand their business objectives, challenges, and data requirements.
• Develop strong client relationships by demonstrating expertise and professionalism.
• Identify opportunities to leverage data analytics to address client business challenges and improve efficiency.
• Analyse clients' existing data sources and systems to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
• Design data strategies, including data modelling, data warehousing, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
• Create roadmaps for BI and analytics initiatives that align with clients' goals.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate BI tools and technologies based on client needs.
• Develop interactive dashboards and reports to visualize data trends and insights.
• Monitor and optimise the performance of BI solutions to ensure responsiveness and scalability.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement performance-enhancing measures.
• Continuously improve reporting processes and ensure data accuracy.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in BI, analytics, and data technologies.

The Person

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Math, Analytics, Information Systems).
• Proven experience in business intelligence, data analysis, and data warehousing.
• Strong knowledge of BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, IBM Cognos or similar.
• Proficiency in data modelling, SQL, ETL processes, and data visualization.
• Ability to translate raw data into meaningful dashboards and reports.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving.
• Project management skills to oversee the successful delivery of BI solutions.
