Connexa is New Zealand’s leading mobile tower infrastructure company, driven by a mission to enable a more connected digital future for Aotearoa New Zealand. We do this by designing, building and managing mobile sites across the country for telecommunications providers (like Spark and 2degrees) to expand their coverage efficiently and sustainably. Our tower portfolio of 2,500 covers Cape Reinga to Bluff and is the largest in New Zealand.

Kiwis’ mobile data use has increased dramatically in recent years and demand for mobile services continues to grow. The Connexa team is focused on ensuring Aotearoa is keeping up with this increasing demand, both today and into the future, by building an additional 800 towers over the next eight years to support the required growth in coverage and capacity.

As the Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst, you will be primarily responsible for transforming data into actionable insights and delivering compelling visualisations and reports. You will bring strong data warehouse design skills and work independently across the entire data lifecycle—from data extraction through to visualisation—acting as the organisation’s sole data expert and supporting multiple departments with insightful analytics and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, analyze, and interpret complex datasets to provide meaningful insights
• Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI
• Understand and implement KPIs and performance metrics
• Provide training and support to staff on BI tools and data interpretation
• Create interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports
• Utilise data visualisation best practices to ensure clear and effective communication of insights
• Identify opportunities for process optimisation and data-driven decision making
• Stay current with industry trends and new technologies to enhance BI capabilities
• Create and manage data models within Coalesce for effective data integration and transformation
• Develop and optimise SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation
• Design and extend the data warehouse to be flexible, scalable and performant
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across all data systems
• Work closely with various departments to understand their data needs and deliver appropriate solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a similar role
• Advanced skills in Power BI for data visualization and reporting
• Strong experience with SQL and Snowflake
• Knowledge of modern ETL techniques and tools. Experience with Fivetran and Coalesce would be advantageous
• A solid understanding of data modelling and data warehousing principles
• An interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and how this technology can be used to leverage enterprise data
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders
• Recognises and embraces differences and diversity in the workplace
• A growth mindset and desire for continuous improvement
