Job Description

We are looking for experienced, self-driven, and strategic Business Intelligence Engineer with superior analytical skills for SCOT Selection and OIH (Optimal Inventory Health) team. Selection and OIH are key drivers to Profitability and cost-to-serve improvements. We are responsible for driving thoughtful leadership and innovation to either improve existing or develop new solutions for optimizing Amazon’s selection and inventory, better serving our customers.

This position is critical to build scalable BI solutions to support next-gen system transformation. You will work partner closely with PMTs, Scientists, Economists, Engineers to contribute to each layer of data solution (build data pipeline for scalable BI solution, productionize self-service insights generation etc.)

1) Translating the business requirements to structured BI solutions.
2) Designing and implementing BI technical solutions with the appropriate analytics strategy and data set design.
3) Implementing data pipeline for insights generation.
4) Translating the raw data into meaningful insights through collaboration with Product Managers, Data scientists and Data engineers.
5) Structuring large scale, complex analysis and performing the analysis to generate insights.

Basic Qualifications


- 3+ years of SQL, ETL or Oracle experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
- Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
