Job Description

Business Insights Consultant [6 Month Contract]

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Professional Qualifications/Honours Degree
  • 5+ years' experience in a financial/analytical role within the financial industry
  • Data analysis
  • Data-story telling
  • Presentation creation
  • Public speaking
  • Excel
  • Power BI proficient
  • Strategic and analytical mindset

Responsibilities:

  • Manage team and team deliverables
  • People and conflict resolution (including senior stakeholders)
  • Understanding, interpreting and presenting of financial, risk, client and other data
  • Understand data enough to interrogate accuracy and use data to provide analytics to support business objectives
  • Consolidate, analyze, interpret and provide high quality business intelligence and analysis
  • Support stakeholders with data, insights, query resolution and ad hoc analysis of data
  • Produce targeted reports and presentations that summarize findings and recommendations in order to inform stakeholder decision-making
  • Solve stakeholder needs and drive the strategy for the business by providing insight and managing data analysis and interpretation on strategic issues and business-related challenges
  • Seek opportunities to improve business processes and systems by identifying and recommending effective ways to operate and add value to CIB
  • Understand how to use PowerBi to gather data, for data-story telling
