Why This Role Matters

Eriez Magnetics India is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Business Head – Heavy Industry to lead and grow its Heavy Industry business in India.

This is a key business leadership position with end-to-end responsibility for business growth, revenue, order intake, profitability, market expansion, strategic accounts, customer relationships, and organizational capability development

The successful candidate will lead a high-performing commercial organization and develop sustainable growth across key Heavy Industry sectors including steel, cement, mining, power, ports, recycling, and bulk material handling

Beyond delivering sales results, this role will be responsible for building future leadership capability, developing talent, driving strategic business planning, strengthening market leadership, and contributing to the long-term growth strategy of Eriez India

This position is also viewed as a key leadership succession role, with the potential to progress into broader country-level commercial leadership responsibilities based on demonstrated business performance, leadership effectiveness, and organizational impact.

Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Build, lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Heavy Industry commercial team focused on sustainable growth and accountability.
  • Drive a culture of customer focus, collaboration, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and high performance
  • Develop future leaders through succession planning, mentoring, talent development, and performance management
  • Lead organizational change and business transformation while upholding Eriez values, safety, ethics, and leadership standards

Strategic Business Leadership

  • Develop and execute short- and long-term business strategies to drive sustainable growth and market leadership.
  • Own annual business planning, budgeting, forecasting, resource allocation, and strategic priorities for the Heavy Industry business.
  • Identify growth opportunities through analysis of market trends, customer investments, competition, emerging technologies, and industry developments
  • Drive market share expansion, strategic account development, and market penetration across priority Heavy Industry sectors.
  • Build strong relationships with key customers, consultants, EPC contractors, OEMs, and industry stakeholders
  • Partner with regional and global leadership to align India strategy with Eriez' broader business objectives

Business & Commercial Performance

  • Own revenue, order intake, profitability, pipeline, and overall business performance for the Heavy Industry segment.
  • Establish and manage key business KPIs, ensuring forecast accuracy, CRM discipline, pipeline visibility, and timely corrective action
  • Lead commercial negotiations for major projects, strategic accounts, and key customer agreements, ensuring profitable and risk-balanced growth.
  • Balance growth with customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, cash flow, risk management, and long-term value creation

Sales & Business Development

  • Lead sales and business development across steel, cement, mining, power, ports, recycling, and bulk material handling
  • Identify, qualify, and convert high-value projects, strategic accounts, and new market opportunities
  • Drive application-led solution selling and strengthen customer engagement through technical, commercial, and strategic discussions
  • Develop and maintain a strong network across end users, consultants, EPC contractors, OEMs, and industry influencers
  • Drive project conversion through effective stakeholder management, solution positioning, negotiation, and closure

Skill and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgical, or related Engineering discipline+ MBA .
  • Minimum 10–15 years of industrial equipment sales experience in Heavy Industry, with progressive responsibilities in sales management and team leadership.
  • Proven track record in project sales, key account management, and business development.
  • Strong sales operations discipline, with a structured approach to sales management and team leadership. Strong technical, commercial, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with EPCs, consultants, and multinational organizations is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.
