We are seeking an experienced Business Growth Manager to join our Technology & Transformation (T&T) service line at Deloitte Malta. This is a strategic position that combines commercial excellence, alliance management, and operational oversight. You will drive business growth through activities such as building international consortia, bid preparation and pre-sales engagement with regards to the tenders issued here in Malta and internationally. In addition to this you will act as the product owner of the key growth platforms within the function. The role also envisages the building of strategic alliances both with Deloitte’s global technology vendor partners as well as new alliances that align with Deloitte Malta’s growth trajectory and plans. The selected candidate will also support the Head of T&T in shaping the service line’s commercial direction.

How you will make an impact:

  • Lead and monitor all local and EU tender bidding processes for the T&T service line, ensuring competitive positioning and timely submissions
  • Drive new business development and maintain a robust network of client relationships across the public and private sectors (locally & overseas)
  • Oversee product ownership and product evolution activities related to the growth platforms within Deloitte Malta, with executive sponsorship, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Champion business development activities with T&T and drive continuous improvement
  • Supervise and mentor the renewals management executive responsible for Deloitte’s licensing business, fostering a high-performance culture
  • Set budgets and KPIs, ensuring accountability and delivery against targets
  • Implement best practices in client retention and contract management
  • Serve as the designated Alliance Leader for a select number of Deloitte’s partnerships in Malta
  • Represent Technology & Transformation in specific and targeted activities and strategic initiatives
  • Provide strategic counsel on commercial strategy, market positioning, and growth initiatives

Let’s Talk About You

Experience & Background:

  • Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in growth sales and/or business development in any of the following business sectors - management consulting, technology services, or professional services
  • 2+ years in a senior management or leadership role with P&L responsibility
  • Proven track record of driving business development and new client acquisition in B2B services
  • Experience managing strategic partnerships, alliances, or vendor relationships
  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing matrix organization teams

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute long-term commercial strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Business Development Excellence: Strong track record in tender management, proposal development, and deal closure
  • Leadership & Influence: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and drive organizational change
  • Relationship Management: Exceptional networking and stakeholder management skills across internal and external audiences
  • Financial Acumen: Good understanding of P&L management, budgeting, and financial performance metrics
  • Product Ownership: Experience in product management, technology adoption, or digital transformation initiatives
  • Alliance & Partnership Management: Ability to build and nurture strategic partnerships and alliances

Technical & Professional Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of CRM systems, business intelligence tools, and enterprise software platforms
  • Knowledge of local & EU procurement processes and Framework Contracts (FWCs)
  • Strong bid management and organizational skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and business analytics tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages a plus)
