Joining the team is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of business process transformation and to provide essential analytical support to the Regional Business Operations team.

What you’ll do

1. Support the development and maintenance of Power BI dashboards, automation project and operational reports.
2. Assist in preparing SQL queries and performing data reconciliation and validation.
3. Support business requirements gathering and translating requirements into clear documentation.
4. Participate in user acceptance testing, issue tracking, and solution validation.
5. Monitor key performance indicators and highlight data gaps, risks, or improvement opportunities.
6. Support reporting automation, standardization, and process improvement initiatives.
7. Collaborate with business and technical teams on assigned analytics projects.
8. Perform other projects or operational support tasks as assigned.

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for a motivated Business Function Intern to support data analytics, reporting, and business process improvement activities. The intern will assist in transforming operational data into clear insights, developing dashboards, validating data, and working with cross-functional teams to improve reporting efficiency and business decision-making.

Preferred qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in IT related (Database, SAP, Power BI), Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
2. Basic understanding of data analysis, reporting, and business processes.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
4. Ability to communicate clearly and work with cross-functional stakeholders.
5. Available for the internship period required by the university and company.
6. Internship duration of at least 6 months

Preferred Skill

1. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, PivotTables, and data analysis.
2. Basic knowledge of Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate or other data visualization tools.
3. Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases.
4. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
5. Good written and verbal communication skills.
6. Ability to learn quickly, manage assigned tasks, and work collaboratively.
7. Exposure to SAP, Microsoft Fabric, workflow automation, AI Prompt Engineering or Microsoft Copilot is an added advantage.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
