
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Business Formation & Tax Assistant to support the setup of new business entities and ongoing tax compliance tasks.
This role is ideal for someone who has some familiarity with tax forms, filings, or business registrations and is comfortable working with structured processes and documentation.
You do not need to be a CPA or attorney, but you should be organized, accurate, and able to follow procedures carefully.
Key Responsibilities
Business Formation & Setup
Assist with forming LLCs and corporations
Prepare and process business formation documents
File incorporation paperwork with state authorities
Assist with obtaining EINs (Employer Identification Numbers)
Tax Compliance & Filings
Assist with preparing and filing federal and state tax returns
Support corporate tax filings and compliance requirements
Prepare and file 1099 forms
Assist with payroll tax filings
General Administrative Support
Maintain organized records of all filings and documents
Track deadlines and follow up on outstanding items
Communicate with internal team members regarding status updates
Work with structured processes and checklists to ensure accuracy
What We’re Looking For
Some experience with tax forms, bookkeeping, or business registrations
Familiarity with concepts like LLCs, corporations, EINs, or 1099s
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Comfortable working with forms, documents, and deadlines
Organized and process-driven
Strong written and spoken English
Able to follow instructions carefully and ask questions when unsure
Based in Santiago and available for full-time in-office work
Bonus (Not Required)
Experience with U.S. tax filings or compliance
Experience working in an accounting firm, legal office, or formation service
Familiarity with IRS forms and state filing portals
