Job Description

About the Role

At CHANEL, Business Finance is evolving beyond traditional financial stewardship. Our ambition is to be strategic partners to the business—anticipating trends, shaping decisions, and creating lasting value through insight, foresight, and advanced analytics.

Reporting to the Head of Business Finance, HKMO, the Business Finance Manager, Corporate & Sustainability serves as the key finance business partner to Corporate Functions and Sustainability. This role works closely with senior stakeholders across functions and divisions to plan, monitor, and optimize business performance, ensuring robust financial governance while enabling informed, forward-looking decision-making.

This position plays a pivotal role in connecting financial, operational, and sustainability data to guide strategic choices, manage risks, and support the House’s long-term ambitions, including our sustainability commitments.

What Impact You Can Create at CHANEL

  • You will strengthen CHANEL HKMO’s financial and sustainability decision-making by delivering clear, actionable insights that shape strategy and execution.

  • You will lead business performance planning cycles, enforce strong financial governance, and challenge cost structures to drive forecast accuracy and operating efficiency. Through close partnership with Corporate Functions, Regional Finance, and Treasury, you will enhance reporting, cash flow planning, and analytics capabilities.

  • As the local finance point of contact for ESG and sustainability, you will consolidate and translate sustainability data into meaningful insights, support regulatory and regional reporting, and ensure sustainability considerations are embedded into OPEX, CAPEX, and strategic decisions.

  • You will also partner with senior leaders on strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and advanced scenario planning—using predictive and prescriptive analytics to help the organization navigate complexity, risks, and long-term opportunities.

You Are Energized By

  • Acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and influencing decisions through insight rather than authority.

  • Navigating complexity, ambiguity, and fast-changing environments with agility and curiosity.

  • Translating financial and sustainability data into compelling narratives that drive action.

  • Challenging the status quo, leading change, and continuously improving how finance partners with the business.

  • Collaborating across functions, cultures, and regions to deliver collective impact.

  • Leveraging analytics, data modelling, and technology to anticipate risks and opportunities.

What You Will Bring

  • A university degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline, with a professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) preferred and strong knowledge of IFRS and financial principles.

  • At least 7 years of relevant experience within multinational organizations, ideally within FMCG or retail, and proven capability operating in fast-paced, complex matrix environments.

  • Strong business acumen, critical thinking, and commercial curiosity, with the ability to anticipate trends and their implications.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence through clarity, empathy, and credibility, and to translate complex financial information into impactful storytelling.

  • Advanced analytical capability, including financial modelling and the ability to aggregate and interpret large datasets, supported by proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, ThinkCell, TM1, Power BI, and related tools.

  • A growth mindset, comfort with ambiguity, independence, and a strong drive for continuous learning and self-development.

At Chanel, we are focused on creating an inclusive culture that nurtures personal growth, contributing to collective progress. We believe the uniqueness of each individual increases the diversity, complementarity and effectiveness of our teams. We strongly encourage your application, as we value the perspective, experience and potential you could bring to Chanel.
