The Business Excellence Manager will be based in Manchester, CT, reporting to the Director of Program Management.

Provides direct contribution to teams according to established policies and goals. Demonstrates skills in guiding and/or facilitating.

Responsibilities:

  • Works as change agent and drives Lean and Six Sigma activities as defined in the GBE A3.
  • Applies and deploys Flex Lean Enterprise Values across the entire organization.
  • Leads efforts in eliminating waste and creating value by reducing variation in the processes to achieve sustainable results throughout the organization and segment.
  • Utilizes Continuous Improvement (Kaizen) techniques, initiates process improvements, cycle time reductions, cost reductions and other activities aimed at reducing/eliminating non-value-added activities in the process.
  • Drives Yokoten best practices based on the accord timelines.
  • Creates and validates processes/standards based on standard work and BPs.
  • Conducts Industrial Engineering, Lean and Six Sigma training and accelerates the proliferation of Lean Continuous Improvement culture throughout the organization by co-guiding and co-facilitating Lean deployment.
  • Performs assessments of CIMT Operation/Supply chain/Office and drives initiatives to close gaps.
  • Diligently participates in the selection and executions of Lean and Six Sigma projects.
  • For assigned special project/segment/customer priorities to formulate and propose strategy of Lean.
  • Transformation. Coach and facilitate Lean Transformation activities through Kaizen workshops and Small Group Activities.
  • Incentivize participation and training of Flex employees, suppliers and customers.
  • Travel requirement: NONE

Qualifications/Job Requirements:

  • BS Engineering – Industrial Engineering preferred.

5 years, minimum, regulated manufacturing industry work experience (ideally, medical devices, or similar), in the following:

  • Continuous Improvement projects
  • Kaizen events
  • Proven success record in guiding and directing projects based on business initiatives and customer needs.
  • Management skills and technical experience with Finance, HR, Materials and Operations activities.
  • Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and adaptability in various situations and business settings.
  • Comprehends strategic impact of the function across sites.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentational skills, required.
