Job Description

Position: Grades 7-12 Business Ed Teacher and Work Based Learning

Educational and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment, valid teaching license or the ability to obtain one

Salary: Minimum Salary $60,000

Essential Functions:

  • Preferred certified in Business Education, with a strong background in entrepreneurship, marketing, accounting, and career readiness
  • Experienced in designing engaging, hands-on lessons using real-world applications, simulations, and project-based learning
  • Skilled in integrating financial literacy and career development into classroom instruction
  • Proven ability to coordinate work-based learning programs, including internships, job shadowing, and career exploration opportunities
  • Strong track record of building partnerships with local businesses and community organizations
  • Committed to preparing students for both college and career pathways through practical skill development
  • Focus on teaching essential workplace skills such as communication, teamwork, professionalism, and problem-solving
  • Dedicated to creating an inclusive, supportive, and student-centered learning environment
  • Effective communicator with students, parents, staff and community partners
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple programs and student placements successfully
  • Passionate about helping students connect classroom learning to real-world success
