About Us:

  • 1. Institutional Client Acquisition
  • Identify, approach, and onboard new institutional clients including External Asset Managers (EAMs), Multi-Family Offices, and licensed intermediaries (Type 1/4/9).
  • Develop and execute targeted outreach strategies to grow the platform's institutional client base in Hong Kong and the region.
  • Conduct client presentations and platform demonstrations, articulating the platform's product and service proposition.
  • Manage the onboarding pipeline from initial engagement through KYC, compliance review, and account activation.
  • 2. Platform Business Expansion & Partnership Negotiation
  • Identify and evaluate strategic partnership opportunities with financial institutions, product providers, technology vendors, and distribution networks.
  • Lead or support commercial negotiations, term discussions, and agreement execution with partners and counterparties.
  • Develop business cases and proposals for new market segments, product distribution channels, or geographic expansion.
  • Collaborate with Product and Technology teams to ensure platform capabilities align with partner and client requirements.
  • 3. Client Relationship Management & Service
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned institutional clients, ensuring high-quality and responsive service.
  • Proactively engage clients on platform updates, new product offerings, and market developments relevant to their portfolios.
  • Gather and relay client feedback to internal teams (Product, Technology, Operations) to drive continuous platform improvement.
  • Monitor client activity and AUM trends; identify opportunities to deepen wallet share and cross-sell platform capabilities.
  • 4. Cross-functional Coordination & Reporting
  • Work closely with Compliance, Legal, and Operations to ensure smooth client onboarding and ongoing regulatory adherence.
  • Prepare regular BD pipeline reports, client activity summaries, and business performance updates for senior management.
  • Represent the platform at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance market presence.
  • Support the development of marketing collateral, pitch materials, and client-facing documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in business development, institutional sales, or client management within a bank, securities firm, or WealthTech platform.
  • Established network within the EAM, family office, or professional investor community in Hong Kong is highly preferred.
  • SFC Type 1 licence (dealing in securities) or Type 4 (advising on securities) is advantageous.
  • Sound knowledge of wealth management products and services: equities, fixed income, structured products, funds, and FX.
  • Familiarity with SFC/HKMA regulations governing institutional client onboarding and product distribution in Hong Kong.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities, build business cases, and close deals.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin).
  • Self-motivated, relationship-driven, and able to manage multiple client engagements in a fast-paced environment.
