What you’ll be doing
As a Business Development Support Manager, you will be responsible for executing business development strategy, employer engagement, and placement pipeline performance across assigned regions.
In this role, you will:
Business Development Support
- Assist in identifying and researching potential business opportunities and markets.
- Support preparation of presentations, proposals, and reports for prospective clients.
- Maintain and update customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns and business development strategies.
- Conduct market analysis and competitor research.
- Assist with drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements, and other business documents.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and prospecting activities.
- Proactively seek opportunities for employment program growth and strategic business development initiatives.
- Support and coach Job Placement Facilitators (JPFs) and job development activities to facilitate employment opportunities and achieve performance targets.
Project Management Support
- Assist in planning, executing, and monitoring projects.
- Prepare project plans, schedules, and timelines.
- Coordinate project activities and ensure deadlines are met.
- Maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes, status reports, and risk logs.
- Facilitate communication among project team members, stakeholders, and clients.
- Identify and resolve project issues and risks.
Leadership and Oversight
- Directly supervise Job Placement Specialists (JPS), including oversight of daily job development activities, employer outreach, and placement coordination.
- Own performance outcomes related to employer engagement, interview conversion, and placement volume.
- Establish and maintain employer partnerships that support Competitive Integrated Employment (CIE) outcomes.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and performance management to Job Placement Specialists.
- Monitor accuracy of documentation, reporting, and compliance with funding and program requirements.
- Identify risks, barriers, and performance gaps and escalate concerns as appropriate.
- Collaborate with Area Managers to ensure alignment between client readiness, referrals, and job development efforts.
- Support implementation of standardized workflows, KPIs, and employer engagement strategies across regions.
Administrative Duties
- Provide administrative support related to business development activities.
- Organize and maintain files, records, and documentation.
- Handle correspondence and communications.
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and meeting minutes.
- Assist with travel arrangements and event planning.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

QualificationsEducation
- High school diploma, equivalent or GED
- Bachelor’s degree (Preferred)
Experience
- 1+ years’ sales and/or business development experience.
- Demonstrated ability to develop Business-to-Business sales pipeline from scratch.
- Experience with job development and placement strategies for job seekers with disabilities.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Must have and maintain valid drivers’ license, acceptable driving record, and ability to travel within and throughout region where services are provided.
- Must complete and pass background check.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the employee to regularly stand, walk, sit, talk and hear. They must be capable of writing, using a computer keyboard, telephone and related office equipment. Ability to lift 15lbs.

The employee will be working in community environments, employment sites and office environments. The employee will experience normal office conditions with a well-lighted work area and minor noise from standard office equipment.
